Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has described the affirmation of Alhaji Usman Ododo’s victory by the election petition tribunal as a well-deserved victory.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday, Dr Salisu congratulated Governor Ododo and his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo.
He stated that the tribunal victory was a resounding affirmation of the overwhelming mandate bestowed upon the duo by Kogi electorate on November 11, 2023.
He added that the triumph at the tribunal is a testament to the success of Governor Ododo’s continuity and consolidation project.
“On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, staff, and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I extend our warmest congratulations to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his well-deserved victory at the Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
“We also congratulate His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, as well as all elected and appointed party stalwarts and supporters of the Continuity and Consolidation administration, on this significant triumph.
“We are grateful to God Almighty for this momentous occasion and delighted that the unnecessary litigation has not hindered your dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State.
“We pray that God Almighty uses this victory to fortify and embolden your resolve to propel the State towards unprecedented socio-economic heights,” he said.
The Rector prayed that God continue to guide and protect the governor as he works tirelessly to provide good governance for the state.
