The Ekinrin-Adde Students Union has extended her heartfelt congratulations to Major General Julius Oshanupin (Rtd) and his wife, Chief Mrs. Esther Oshanupin, on the conferment of the titles of Bobajiro and Yeye Bobajiro of Gbede Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, the Olugbede of Gbede, Oba (Colonel) Engr. Segun Oloruntoba.
In a statement released to the press by the Public Relations Officer of the Union, Temibi Samuel, described General Oshanupin as a distinguished ambassador of the Okun Nation and an esteemed elder-statesman whose service to the Nigerian people remains exemplary.
The Union hailed General Oshanupin’s unwavering dedication to his community and his patriotism to Okun Land, which have earned him numerous accolades and respect nationwide. The conferment of these new titles give credence to his remarkable character and underscores the importance of leveraging his wealth of experience in community leadership.
The statement disclosed that, despite his retirement from the military, General Oshanupin’s expertise in public service and community development continues to be sought after by various communities across Okun Land.
“General Oshanupin is a prominent leader within the community, serving as the Asiwaju of Ekinrin Adde land. His influence is felt far and wide. These titles bestowed upon him and his wife signify a call to service. As a union, we are confident that he will bring to Gbede the same level of experience and expertise that has greatly contributed to the development of his homeland,” the statement disclosed.
