The Caretaker Chairman, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon. Hassan Sani Atawodi has called on all the members of APC in Ofu Local Government Area to drop their grievances and come together in unity to move the party forward.
Hon. Hassan who made the call in his Office at Ugwolawo while receiving the party’s former ward Chairmen and Secretaries in Ofu Local Government Area, said that no house that is divided against itself will stand and make a meaningful progress, noting that loyalty is the core values of any political movement.
In a press release signed by Omede Idoko Samuel, Principal Information Officer, Ofu Local Government Council, the Chairman charged the party’s faithful in the area to shun politics of bitterness and acrimony and work with his administration to take the party to an enviable height, adding that “if you want to be successful in whatever you do, you must do it with the whole of your might”.
Earlier, the spoke person of the group, Mall Sanusi Ibrahim, who was also the former Chairman of Ochadam Ward, said that they have come to express their joy and happiness over the appointment of Hon. Hassan Sani Atawodi, saying that Hon Hassan was the person that was leading them when APC began initially in Ofu Local Government.
Mall Sanusi called on the members of the group to join hands together with the administration of Hon. Hassan Atawodi to move the party forward, adding that APC will continue to prosper in Ofu Local Government Area.
In a remarks, Hon Adaidu Usman, former chairman, Aloji ward, said that effective leadership has nothing to do with age, he added that though Hon. Hassan is a young man, but he has a very strong leadership capacity, saying that the administration of Hon. Hassan Atawodi will work hard to the growth of APC in Ofu Local Government Area.
In his vote of thanks, Hon Ahmed Labaran, the Secretary to Ofu Local Government Council, said that loyalty is the answer to productivity in politics, saying that the reason why this group of people are happy is because, they and Hon. Hassan Atawodi were partners in loyalty to APC in the early days of the party in Ofu Local Government Area.
He urged the group to hold on to the party, adding that APC in Ofu Local Government has changed from what it use to be to a better one.
