Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Kogi governorship election, Senator Dino Melaye, has donated one million Naira to Kiri Kingdom in Kabba-Bunu local government area of the state.
The donation was in support of planned efforts to grade roads across Kiri Kingdom.
Roads in Kiri Land which includes Suku-Ike and Ofere-Taki are is worsening conditions and has become a source of great concerns to residents.
According to Asiwaju Of Kiri Kingdom, Prof Olu Obafemi, in conjunction with Olukiri, His Royal Majesty, Oba James Ikusemoro, the planned grading of these roads becomes urgent and necessary due to its deplorable status pending the intervention of the government.
Melaye, who holds the Otunba of Bunu Kingdom title, made his N1 million donation into the account of Kiri Development Fund.
