The House of Assembly member representing Yagba West Constituency, Hon Idowu Ibikunle Simon, has congratulated his Yagba East counterpart, Emmanuel Obaro on the judgment affirming his victory at the States Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.
Idowu Ibikunle said that the well-delivered verdict of the tribunal was thorough and reflected the overwhelming support of the majority of Yagba East constituents on the capacity of the lawmaker to deliver massively on the mandate given to him and also represent their diverse interests.
This was contained in a statement made available to FocusNGR in Lokoja by his media aide, Babarinde Sunday Adeyemi.
He further encouraged the opposition candidates to sheath their swords and join hands with Obaro in the interest of Yagba East, stating that Obaro has started well and need not be distracted.
According to him,” This verdict from the Court validates the mandate bestowed upon the Obaro to represent Yagba East, and he, Obaro, has wasted no time in justifying the confidence reposed in him by his constituents. So therefore, I urge for restrain and advice Obaro should be left alone to perform his legislative assignments,” he concluded.
