General Overseer of Chapel of Freedom International Churches, Lokoja, Bishop John Ibenu has admonished leaders to equip themselves with management skills because their your greatest asset as well as greatest problem are human beings.
He gave the admonition during the 2023 Ordination Service of Chapel of Freedom International Churches in Lokoja on Saturday.
While assuring the newly ordained pastors, elders, deacons and deaconess of divine release of grace to undertake their new assignment, Bishop Ibenu said every work of God is done by faith.
According to clergyman, it is not money makes the ministry work, but God’s enabling grace.
He explained that God had given everyone equal opportunity to be holy as such they should strive for salvation by avoiding negative deeds. He added that sin does not pay.
Bishop Ibenu prayed for the newly ordained ministers and urged them to bring stability, peace and unity to the body of Christ.
Speaking with newsmen after the ordination service, Dr. Ibenu said “The significance of today is raising strategic leaders who will lead people, not only in the church but in the society as well. The greatest need of the society and nations today is are men of honesty, men who fear God, men with foresight, men who are visionaries and men with capacity.
“These strategic leaders will be trained to lead the society, nations and the church. We expect that at the end of the trainings, wherever these leaders find themselves, whether in the church or their respective offices, they will be pillars of the society agents of peace and we will have a better society, Kogi state and Nigeria.”
He urged Nigerians to always show mercy to one another and work towards the salvation of their souls.
Also speaking, the wife of the Presiding Bishop of Chapel of Freedom International Churches, Reverend Mrs Margaret Ibenu, said the ordination marked another turning point in the life of this ministry as they do the work of God for the expansion of the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
According to her, this year’s service made it the sixth ordination in the ministry.
She explained that the ministry has four focal assignments; church planting, outreach to the world, education and media ministry.
One of the ordained ministers, Pastor Emmanuel Samuel, who spoke on behalf of others, promised to do God’s work with faith, raise different workers for God, win souls and speak the truth.
