Special Adviser on Domestic Matters to the Governor of Kogi State, Abdulrazak Aminu (Okakanda), has described Senator Dino Melaye as a pawn in the hands of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said Alh. Usman Ododo has consulted far and wide and eventually broke into the enclave of oppositions in the state, hence Dino’s ambition in the PDP has became a fruitless journey.
Reacting to statements credited to Dino at a national function of PDP, Okakaka admonished his teeming media influencers, the Okakanda Media for Ododo, to continue on the pedestal of making good images and defending falsehood against the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alh. Usman Ododo and his running mate, Comrade Oyibo Joel.
According to him, the task ahead of all well-meaning Kogi citizens is to build a state where the beauty of our diversity can be harnessed in such a way that Kogi will be a better place for all and sundry, adding that “the likes of Dino who is a grandstanding element can only do well in the comedy industry.”
“Dino has obviously taken mentorship from the defeated Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar who seems to be one of the loudest but very incapacitated contestants and has no grassroots connections,” he asserted.
While reflecting on the activities of Dino on the floor of the Red Chamber, Okakanda described him as “a mistake that happened to the legislative institution”, noting that he was only “skilful in skit making, jumping into vans, climbing trees, making false claims and various despicable activities which were hallmarks of his representation.”
He added that such a reckless fellow should never be taken seriously in a contest of building a united and prosperous Kogi State.
The Special Adviser said that no tangible project could be traced to Dino Melaye across Kogi West in all the years he spent at the National Assembly but only successful in amassing wealth for opulent living.
“He is a perpetual failure who has nothing to use for issue-based campaigns rather than promoting regional politics capable of dividing the people of Kogi State along ethnic lines.
“Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman is a man with a remarkable track record and with impeccable credentials. He is a round peg fixed in a round hole, therefore we are appealing to everyone who is yet to align with us to as a matter of patriotism join the movement for consolidation on the numerous achievements of His Excellency Gov Bello”, he added.
