An elder statesman, Dr. Toyin Akanle has assured members of his Idera Political Movement that decision on November 11, 2023 governorship election in Kogi state will be made known very soon.
Speaking with our correspondent in his Makutu-Isanlu country home, the retired Assistant Director General of Department of State Service (DSS) said a lot still had to be done before arriving at a decision as crucial s the governorship poll.
He, however, assured that the governorship candidate they will support will be best option for the state among the pack.
“Idera movement cannot be rubbished. Things looks dull, the spirit is low but we know what we are doing.
“It took us four solid year to achieve what we have now and it will take more than four years for it to just die like that. The essential thing is for you to know who the anchor people are. It will not take me three weeks to resuscitate the entire political structure and we will be all over again. The people are there, they believe in Idera Political Movement. They believe in what are doing, they have faith in me because they are not the kobo-kobo people.
“They all ask me, where are we going? nd I keep saying, let’s be watching, we will soon know where we are going.
“As regards the political situation in Kogi state at the moment, especially the governorship election, we still have a lot of work to do. We have to bring everybody together and see who can better deliver among the candidates,” he said.
