Kogi State Director General, Special Taskforce on Illegal Smuggling of Fire Arms and Other Related Crimes, Elder Friday Sani Makama has called on indigenes of the state to sustain their support for the state government.
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Monday as the nation celebrates 2023 Democracy Day, Makama described Governor Yahaya Bello as a true democrat who has changed the political space in Kogi state through all-inclusive governance and leadership
He pleaded with Kogites to give Governor Bello the needed support for a continuity government so as to realize the proper meaning of Kogi Agenda that is devoid of ethnics and religious sentiments.
The Taskforce DG who went round the Kogi State Government House that is now wearing a new look said previous administration failed to do anything to make the seat of power a place for others to emulate.
According to him, the construction of the newly built Cathedral and Mosque by the present administration in Government House Lokoja is a clear attestation that the Governor is committed to promote religious harmony in the State.
While eulogizing the present administration for the gigantic structure erected at the Government House, the Kogi State Director General, Special Taskforce on Illegal smuggling of Fire Arms and Other Related Crimes added that the agency will forever be grateful to the present administration for the show of love in promoting the activities of the agency.
Makama reiterated that the fight against illegal arms smuggling in Kogi State remains on course, stressing that anyone who is into crimes should relocate from Kogi State.
