The immediate past National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, has described the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has the best materials to rescue Nigeria from misrule.
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday, Ologbondiyan called on Kogi people to come out enmass on Saturday to welcome the flag bearer of the party to the state.
Ologbondiyan, the spokesman of Atiku/Okowa campaign organization, said the January 14 presidential campaign rally of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lokoja will further reinforce the reality that Kogi is a PDP state.
“Kogi state has been a PDP state and would remain so. There is a great difference between now and when PDP was in power as the people are now wallowing in excruciating poverty in spite of the huge allocations coming to the state.
“Of all the candidates jostling for the presidency, Atiku is the most prepared as he has a comprehensive blueprint in which to tackle the problems of the country and and make it a pride to all Nigerians,” he said.
Ologbondiyan called on all the electorate in the state to ensure they vote for Atiku Abubakar and all the PDP candidates in the February and March polls, urging the party supporters to stay firm and refuse to be intimidated by any body.
The presidential campaign spokesman called on all the party members and supporters to mobilize people for the mega rally at the state capital on Saturday to show their love for the party and the flag bearer who he said has the magic wand to turn around the economy of the country.
