As Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid el Kabir, the Festival of Sacrifice, Hon. T.J Faniyi, house of representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Yagba federal constituency in the 2023 general elections has congratulated them on the celebration.
Hon. Faniyi, a Grassroots Politician, who made the remark on Saturday in a congratulatory message made available to Journalists in Lokoja, the State Capital, emphasized the need to live in peaceful coexistence, love and religious tolerance.ย
The PDP Flag bearer rejoiced with Muslims on the celebration, pointing out that the Festival is worth celebrating in view of the fact that only the living celebrate.
While expressing his felicitation to Islamic leaders and Muslim Faithfuls in the Federal Constituency, the candidate enjoined Followers of the faith to celebrate with modesty and allow the lessons of love, obedience and sacrifice that Eid el Kabir portray reflect in their daily lives.
He called on Muslims to be obedient to constituted authority by getting their permanent voter’s cards (PVC) to enable them exercise their franchise in the next general elections.
Hon. Faniyi enjoined the people of Yagba Land and the State in general to be law abiding and pray for God’s intervention over the security challenges being faced in the county.
The PDP candidate also used the occasion to reiterate his resolve to provide quality representation if voted into power come 2023.
