The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman has called on Christians and other residents to live in peace with their neighbours and be ever willing to help those in need.

The Rector made the call in his Easter message issued in Lokoja on Sunday.

He described the celebration of Easter as unique as it marks the trial, sacrifice, victory and completion of the divine mandate of Jesus Christ.

“On behalf of the governing council, academic board, management, staff and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I wish to felicitate with our Christian faithfuls on the auspicious occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

“While we are celebrating this unique occasion, let us keep in mind the significance of the season which is the perfect demonstration of sacrificial love for others.

“I pray God will always shower His blessings on us and grant us peace and love needed to make us a united entity,” he said.

Dr Salisu called on all citizens to entreat God for an end to all forms of violence in the country.
