Alhaji Maikudi Yusuf has promised to advocate, through legislative instruments, for the reduction of urban poverty in Lokoja 1 State Constituency if supported to represent the people in 2023.
Maikudi Yusuf (Leader) made this known while fielding questions from journalists during his visit to Lokoja secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to seek their support.
He contended that Lokoja as a state capital is not growing at the desired rate economically and regretted that the tourism potentials of the area are not fully harnessed for full economic advantage of the people.
While assuring the party of effective representation, Alhaji Maikudi was quick to remind them that as a former party chairman himself, he is always ready to be part of the crusade to support members.
He also assured the people that he will make concerted effort to improve on the educational standing of his people. He promised to initiate programmes that will encourage Education for All in the area. This, according to him, is the only gate way to sustainable development of the area.
The Lokoja PDP executive committee assured Maikudi of their support, describing him as an uncommon ambassador whose interest is always to uplift the downtrodden.
