A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi West, Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi, has described Senator Tunde Ogbeha as a torch-bearer whose antecedents are worth emulating.
In a statement issued on Wednesday to celebrate the retired Army General’s 74th birthday, Otunba Adeniyi said the footprints of Ogbeha’s credible representation and leadership are evident across the senatorial district.
Popularly known as So’Miedumare, Otunba Adeniyi recalled the roles played by Ogbeha, alongside other patriots, in the creation of Kogi state in 1991.
Otunba Adeniyi, a 2023 Kogi West senatorial aspirant, said Ogbeha’s achievements transcends Kogi state as he made his mark when he served as Military Governor of Old Bendel and Akwa Ibom states.
“Having you as our party leader in Kogi West is indeed a blessing for us. You have provided leadership for us at every point of call.
“At 74 you are still waxing stronger. On this birthday of yours sir, I wish you many more years in good health and prosperity. May God continue to endow you with more strength and wisdom to continue to lead us. Amen,” he said.
