Okene: Abdulrazaq Takes Oath of Office, Thanks Gov. Bello, Others

The winner of the just concluded local government election in Okene and the candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has been sworn in as the Executive Chairman of Okene council.

The oath of office was administered on him by the state Acting Chief Judge, Justice Henry Olusiyi at Lokoja township stadium on Monday in the presence of the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello, his deputy, Edward Onoja, top government functionaries, party supporters and the general public.

The Vice-Chairperson, Mrs Bilikisu Aliyu was also sworn in at the event. 

The newly sworn-in executive chairman thanked Gov. Bello, stakeholders of the ruling APC and the electorate for the opportunity given to serve the people as the council chairman.

He expressed optimism that the confidence and trust reposed on him by the people of the council will be reciprocated.

Engr. Abdulrazaq, however, solicited the cooperation and support of all stakeholders in Okene to enable his administration achieve sustainable peace, progress and radical transformations in the area.
