Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has called on political parties contesting for the December 12 council elections in the state to submit their campaign plans to the commission.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner in charge of media and publicity, Yakubu Chogudo, political parties’ campaigns for the elections starts on November 4 and ends on December 10.
Chogudo explained that early submission of campaign itinerary will enable the Commission prepare a dossier that will guarantee a hitch free campaign devoid of clashes at all locations in the state.
“Ahead of this programme, political parties are to submit their campaign roadmaps to the State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC).
“The template for each political party roadmap should consist of the dates and schedules of movements to various locations in the state e.g. local government wards, polling units, senatorial districts and ultimately, the venue for the grand finale,” he said.
He encouraged political parties to be prompt in submitting their campaign plans.
