NSCDC Recovers Car Stolen from Kogi in Taraba State

Amidst COVID-19 lockdown, the Taraba State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday recovered a Golf 3 car stolen from Itobe, Ofu Local Government Council of Kogi State.

The car was reportedly stolen on April 11.

Taraba State Commandant of NSCDC, Alhaji Aliyu Ndanusa, displayed the recovered car with registration number Abuja GWA-679 EA to newsmen in Jalingo.

According to him, operatives of the NSCDC on patrol recovered the car near mechanic village in Jalingo.

“The operatives of the command on patrol recovered the vehicle near mechanic village in Jalingo.

“The thief abandoned the vehicle and ran away but the command is conducting investigation that will lead to the possible arrest and prosecution of the thief,” he said.

Ndanusa explained that one Mr Yakub Ojo from Kogi has already come with vehicle particulars laying claims to the car, saying more investigation to ascertain the authenticity of the documents would be carried out.

The commandant warned criminals that the NSCDC, despite its involvement in the fight against covid-19 pandemic, was still fully prepared to come hard on them.

He urged criminals to shun criminality and join hands with the well meaning people to fight against the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.
