Ajaokuta Steel: Group Lauds Gov. Bello Over Visit to Russian Ambassador

A community based organization, Ajaokuta Progressive Movement Forum (APMF), Lokoja chapter, has congratulated the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello on his re-election and his swearing for a second term in office.

The group expressed confidence that the second term of the governor will ensure continuity and will subsequently bring prosperity to the state.

In a statement signed by Mall. Abdulrahman Akaaba and Idris Irikiti, coordinator and secretary respectively, the group commended the Governor over his recent visit to the Russian Ambassador in Abuja in continuation of his quest for the revitalization of the ailing Ajaokuta Steel complex, describing the move as step in the right direction.

While commending the Governor for his achievements in his first tenure, particularly in curbing insecurity and uniting the people of the state, they were optimistic that his second term will withness massive development in the areas of infrastructure, healthcare, education and Agriculture.

The group stressed that a completed Ajaokuta Steel company would generate massive employment and create wealth for the people of the state and Nigeria at large.

While encouraging the Governor not to relent in his effort until Ajaokuta Steel company is completed and functional for the benefit of Kogi people and Nigerians, the said that the community would support every effort that will bring Ajaokuta back on stream.

The group also congratulated the Commissioner for health, Dr. Saka Haruna and all other appointees from Ajaokuta Loca Governor and called on them to support the governor’s efforts aimed at giving Kogi state an accelerated development.

They also commended the Sole Administrator of the council, Hon. Mustapha Aka’aba and all other APC stakeholders in the local government for leading the party to victory in the area.

The group promised their unalloyed loyalty and support to the government, saying that they would do their best possible to ensure the success of the state government and the council.
