**Time for Melaye’s Antics Are Over.
The Director General of Media and Publicity to the Governor of Kogi state, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) knew they were going to lose the governorship election and had written their protest statement some two weeks ago.
Fanwo stated this through a statement, Thursday, saying the main opposition party didn’t prepare to win the election.
He said; “All these long statements you are reading were prepared by their spokesman over two weeks ago. They knew they were going to lose because they didn’t prepare for the election. Moreover, those who used to help them win election had decamped to the All Progressives Congress(APC).
“The greatest undoing of the PDP was their aborted and gun-booming primary election. That broke what was left of the PDP. All they were preparing for was violence. They produced fake military uniforms and imported thugs from across the country.
“The moment those satanic plans failed, they knew it was over. They are known for making noise in the media and sponsoring unintelligent propaganda. One of their chieftains in Kogi has not told us while he diverted election materials to his house in Kabba. They are hypocrites and the real enemies of democracy.
Fanwo said it will be difficult for PDP to win Kogi again as the party has been disconnected from the people.
“They are not with the people and the people are not with them. You cannot win elections when you are rejected. Check the APC Campaign rallies and see the crowd. Those massive rallies translated into huge votes. When Musa Wada was parading white cocks on the streets of Anyigba, we went there to tell them we would continue our good work in Dekina LGA and other parts of the state.
“We understand the knockout effect of the victory but we wish to advise the PDP to sit back and take stock of how the party played itself into such a catastrophic loss”.
On Dino Melaye, the image maker said the former Senator never wanted a free and fair election, saying “Dino’s strength is rigging.
“To defeat Dino, all we did was to prevent rigging. He can never win a free and fair election. His theatrics was to deceive the people and also fake some popularity. “He has been manipulating the psyche of the Kogi people to believe he is an advocate for the masses.
“He is anti-masses. He believes in riches for a few. Anyone that subscribed to such economic thinking makes the poor poorer. That is what Dino is. The people of Nigeria should not take him serious.
“He has been concocting some videos. I learnt he has gone to INEC to protest. That is what confusion can do to a desperate person. Is INEC the same as election petitions tribunal? His lawyers should advise him properly.”
Fanwo expressed gratitude to the Kogi people for their reaffirmed confidence in Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Hon. Edward Onoja.
He also thanked the Kogi West people for taking Sen. Smart Adeyemi to the “brinks of the Senate”, assuring the people that APC will continue to support good governance and provision of democracy dividends.
