Dear Governor Yahaya Bello,
Let me apologise on behalf of our people. We are sorry to oppose you. We should have known that we are nobody to oppose you. We should have known that there is no vacancy for anyone except you.
Little did we know that we have no right to make choices, how can we know that our choice will lead to our death. Who will tell us that it is the end time for a lot of our youths. Who will tell us that we will cry for the blood of our people who dared you. Please, we are sorry…
I thought we could think about liberation, I thought we have right to ask for good governance, I thought we have the free will to act in the best possible interest of our people.
Stupid enough, we should have accepted your apology to us in proxy; or rather we should have apologised to you for our unnecessary uproar to question a government we never voted into power.
We have made a huge mistakes, we have heard the guns as promised (“tata taratata tatatatata”) the guns have killed some and the rest of us have gone into hiding. Speaking from a whole, I am begging, pleading with you to please let us live.

Even now, our people are still being killed, now I know we have erred: “how can tenants question a landlord” it was a clear message but we were dump not to understand.
My prayer is simple: please, can the killing stop now? Can we now come out of hiding? Can you tell the killer men to please leave us alone?
Do consider this and forgive our mistakes.
Kogi state belong to you alone. We hands up!!!
