Kogi Guber: Gov. Bello is a Shining Star, Destined for Greatness – Lawi

Member representing Okene l State constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed has commended Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for his numerous achievements in the state.

Lawi gave the commendation when he played host to Kogi Students Vanguard (KSV) from University of Abuja, Nasarawa State University and FUT Minna in his Abuja residence on Thursday.

He described Bello as a shining star that is destined for greatness. He endorsed the governor for a second term in office.

In line with the lawmaker, Comrade Victor Bala, President of the group from FUT Minna, said that the group has endorsed governor Bello’s second term aspiration because of his infrastructural and human development within three years in office.

Bala said that the achievements also included payment of salaries to civil servants and the appointment of youths into various political offices in the state.

“Kogi Students Vanguard is rooting for Gov. Bello not because of his vast experience as youthful governor, but because of his commitment and the anticipation in completing ongoing project in his current tenure.

“Today, many youths are gainfully employed, some roads in Kogi State has been completed. Gov. Bello administration has employed over 6,000 Kogites and majority of them are women and youths.

“The rice mill projects in Omi are nearing completion which after completion will create job opportunity for more than 10, 000 Kogites while serious work is ongoing in other sector and various rural road projects across the state,’’ he said.

In his remarks, Hon. Lawi, lauded the governor for the payment of salaries arrears to the civil servants in the state.

“Today, in every local government, we have over 10 primary schools that have been renovated and equipped with modern facilities.

“In every local government, we have more than 10 boreholes each and many others. In view of this, Gov. Bello deserves a second term in office.

“The governor deserves a second term to enable him finish ongoing projects,” he said.

Comrade Aminu Ohiare, the Chairman of Kogi Students Vanguard from Abuja University, added that the group is standing by the governor due to his concern for the security and welfare of residents of the state.

Comrade Gimba Audu, the chairman of the group from Nasarawa State University, said: “Our governor has directly focused on human and economic development. This movement is to bring all sons and daughters of Kogi State to vote for Gov. Bello in 2019.”
