Hajj: Kogi Pilgrims Receives Governor Bello’s $150 Gift

Kogi state pilgrims have received the sum of 150 dollars each as gift from the Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

In a telephone message, the Kogi State Hajj Commission stated that the 463 pilgrims were paid $150 each, which he said was the Governor’s gift to them.

According to the Commission, the payment commenced Friday and was completed on Saturday.

The statement added that the Commission has equally commenced preparation in earnest for the Hajj proper with series of  lectures to prepare the pilgrims for the exercise.

The pilgrims, in their separate speeches, commended Governor Bello and the officials of the Commission for keeping to their promise.

The pilgrims prayed for the Governor’s successes in all his endeavour and for the peace and progress of Kogi state.

They promised to abide by the advise of the Governor and instructions of the Commission to be good ambassadors of Kogi state in the Holy land of Makkah.
