The Audu Political Family has berated former President, Nigerias Union of Journalists (NUJ), Senator Smart Adeyemi for threatening to work against the All Progressives Congress (APC) if Governor Yahaya Bello is denied the governorship ticket of the party.
Reacting the allege threat, leader of the Audu Political Family, Prince Mohammed Audu stated that Adeyemi will find himself in a losing side if he works against APC.
Audu noted that the ruling party is well loved by Kogi electorate and will emerge victorious in forthcoming governorship elections in the state.
“Senator Smart Adeyemi’s threat to work against All Progressives Congress (APC) if Governor Yahaya Bello fails to pick the party ticket is laughable. He joined the winning party after failing his re-election into the Senate. APC was strong before he joined and the party will remain a winning side if he chose to work against us in November.
“The Audu Political Family has a strong connection with the people of Kogi state. We delivered victory for the party against all odds in 2015 and will repeat the feat in 2019. The Audu Political Family, in accord with the principles of our late leader, Prince Abubakar Audu, understands the expectations of the people and have all it takes to restore Kogi state’s lost glory.
“Yahaya Bello does not deserve the APC ticket because he has been rejected by the good people of Kogi state. He has failed in all aspect of governance and it is understandable that the Governor and his camp are aware of the fact that he does not merit the APC ticket. However, if Smart Adeyemi choose to work against APC, he will lose again,” he said.
Audu, a governorship aspirant, assured members of the ruling party and supporters that APC will win the November 16 governorship election.
