This heading may look strange but we have to talk about it so that unsuspecting good men will not join the wagon of evil patronisers in Kogi State and get their fingers burnt for lack of consciousness.

This is more like a warning, an advise and a reminder to those who wish to join and those who have already joined to desist now that they have the chance to do that.

In the cause of my advocacy for good governance, responsive leadership, responsible citizenship and community service,  I have had reasons to travel to different parts of Kogi State, meet with different people of different status of ages, sex, educational backgrounds and tribes.

I have met people of different class of Civil servants,  Business owners, artists, apprentices and those unemployed and they seem to be united in one art.

Nigerians and of course Kogi State are divided on bases of ethnicity, religious and political sentiments but all seems to be on the same page on the clutches of hunger and the lamentations same all over.

Hunger, just like death knows no tribe, knows no religion, knows no political inclinations. It deals with all and answers the same name everywhere.

Kogi as at today can be conveniently called HUNGER STATE without provoking anyone. It walks on the streets, drinks from our rivers, goes to the same market with the people and sleep on the same bed. From the East, West and Central, it is one and same song.

In Kogi State today, the priorities of parents to their children is no longer to send them to school, give them better health care and live a hygienic lifestyle. You can not give what you don’t have. The priority Now is to strive for a ONE SQUARE MEAL a day.

Civil servants are the most hit while, artisans and other businesses are groaning because there are no buyers to patronise their goods and services.

All this is a result of a bad government in the state headed by a youthful governor. The government is tyrannical with unfavorable policies that are alien to governance. Monies are embezzled, salaries are not paid, infrastructures are decaying, the state is indebted  and the economy is in bad shape.

Upon these facts, they still go around lying to the people that every thing is alright  and that they should go and die if they can no longer cope. Those who sees death as an option, has hung themselves, some who wished to still remain alive are dead because of ill health and lack of medical care, others are down on sick beds while some are still here growing tough with one determination.

However, all this people are united in one accord; The ACT of CURSING. The people curse in the morning, they curse in the afternoon, they curse in the night. They sees that as the only weapon against this wickedness and man inhumanity to man. They curse those directly responsible for their predicaments and their supporters.

And because they are united in this cursing, effects are obvious as things are looking worst for the perpetrators and their supporters.

The curse seems to be even more potent on their supporters of this evil than the main actors. Check them out, some are as hung as hunger itself, others look tattered and worn out like life will flee their bodies the next second.

What is the essence of supporting evil if it will not reflect on me positively? They no longer think, so won’t ask themselves this questions. Na d curse dey work but dem no know.

Are you a man of conscience and positivity, steer clear, there is a Potent Curse walking on the streets of Kogi State!
