The leading House of Representatives candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Yagba Federal constituency, Elder Leke Abejide has appealed to electorate to vote ADC for effective representation.
In his New Year message, Abejide admonished electorate not to lose hope as the Lord is about to hear the cries of Yagba people through effective representation at the green chamber.
“I want to take this opportunity to wish all constituents of Yagba Federal constituency a very happy New Year, and to pledge that I will do all I can to stand up for you in Green Chamber come 2019.
“As we take this moment to look back over the year just gone, I don’t have to tell you that the challenges we face are enormous, and that the government’s austerity measures have made difficult problems much worse. Many of the constituents I met during my daily interactions are facing desperate circumstances as a result of draconian cuts to benefits, and a falling representative, most especially at the green chamber.
“Not only that, but even as trust in the political system itself is at an all-time low, it still does not mean that we should give up.
“It is that spirit of progressive and caring leadership that has continue to propel me to present myself for service to humanity. I will continue in this light to make sure our people receive the best.
“In the mean time, while we are all set to have a taste of proper representation come 2019, it will be a pleasure to kindly address the basic issues bothering our dear constituents in Yagba land which cuts across education, rural development, agriculture, care for the aged and children and most importantly youths empowerment which I am assuring us that the liberation of Yagba will propel all to prosperity and to the benefit of everyone which is the basic need of dividends of democracy, that we all need to enjoy.
“At this juncture, my sincere plea to the good people of our constituency is to continue my aspiration to represent Yagba Federal constituency in the House of Representatives,” he said.
