The Etsu of Bassa Nge Kingdom HRM Brig. Gen. Abu Ali Mopa lll Rtd has described the death of Alhaji Idris Abdullahi as a great shock and a monumental loss to Bassa Nge Nge Kingdom and Nigeria as a whole.
Alh. Abdullahi Idris died on Sunday 16th December 2018 at Garki Hospital, Abuja after a brief illness.
Etsu Abu Ali made this known today at crucial meeting hold between BNDU, Traditional Rulers and 2018 Bassa Nge Day Central committee members in his palace at Gboloko, Bassa local government of Kogi State.
In a press statement signed by Abdulrasheed Tenimu Amore, the Traditional Rulers said Alhaji Idris Abdullahi has greatly contributed to the progress and development of Bassa Nge Kingdom in all ramifications of life which will not be easily forgotten in the history of Bassa Nge race.
The paramount Traditional Rulers urged the Bassa Nge people to emulate the benevolent gesture Carried out by late Alhaji Idris Abdullahi while alive.
The retired military general said he sympathised and condoled with the immediate family of the deceased, Bassa Nges and entire Nigeria and prayed that Almighty Allah should grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss and also grant the deceased Aljanal firdausi.
Before the commencement of the meeting a minute silent was observed in honour of the Bassa Nge hero.
