Senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali said he has deliberately refused to blow his own trumpet after executing projects in communities of Kogi East because of his strong belief in giving back to the people what is due for them.

Senator Aidoko made this statement in Lokoja during the presentation of over one hundred projects profile donated to the nine local government areas of Kogi East to Coalition of Igala Community District Development Association and Social Cultural Organisation.

The stewardship account tagged, “Re-Stewardship Account and Final Reminder” consists of 500 KVA transformers, hand pump and motorised boreholes, primary school classrooms, skill acquisition centres, electricity projects, rural roads, clinics, a hundred bed hospital, a town hall at Attah’s Palace, computer centre and other verifiable projects scattered across Kogi East.

This is in addition to series of empowerment, employment, engagement in different strata, along with donation of cars, twice, to two levels of leaderships of PDP in Kogi East.

He urged the committee to strife and educate the people of Kogi East on the benefits of interventionist project of over 1 billion naira at NABDA, Idah zonal office.

Senator Aidoko told the umbrella body not to only collate his achievements alone but use the fora as an avenue to reach out to the people on the developmental strides in the last eight years, not minding all manners of litigations and distractions.

Kogi East senator said he had indulged all manners of allegations including the refusal to provide portable water to his ancestral home, Ugbamaka Iga and its environs.

Aidoko challenged the body to do justice to this community and him by going all out to verify whether Ugbamaka Iga has hygienic source of drinking water or not.

“We cannot condone or concede any oversight at the expense of my immediate community, Ugbamaka Iga, just like political detractors continue to impress.

“I provided a motorised borehole to Ugbamaka Iga, Iga Ocheba, Iga Ikeje and its environs. When the terrain resisted it, I graduated to making available motorised/engine powered boreholes to replace them. Since then, we have portable water.

“We have a robust electricity platform and a clinic to address emergencies of health problems in our communities, including the ongoing 100 bed mother and children hospital at Okpo, to serve as referral,” he said.

Senator Aidoko said his social contract with the people will not be derailed in his quest to seek re-election back to the senate because of his strong believe in posterity.

Aidoko expressed satisfaction with the efforts of various Igala groups in uniting the race. He urged them to do more so as not to allow bitter politicking to further decapitate the age long relationship that existed between the race for a long time.
