A retired journalist, who worked as a cartoonist with Kogi State government owned media, collapsed while waiting to be verified for payment.
The retiree, names withheld, slumped at the pensioners pay point located at NUP secretariat in Lokoja on Monday.
This reporter could not ascertain the reason why he slumped as he was rushed to an undisclosed place for medical attention.
