House of Representatives candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Yagba Federal constituency, Elder Leke Abejide has paid the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) fees for 1,397 indigent students in public secondary schools across Yagba land.
In a statement signed by Abdulnafiu Sule on behalf of the Leke Abejide Foundation, 420 students from Yagba West local government will benefit from the intervention.
Sule added that 738 and 237 students from Yagba East and Mopamuro local governments respectively made the list of beneficiaries.
He appealed to the students to use the opportunity to pursue a successful career that will make Yagba land a unique Federal constituency in the nearest future.
Sule, who is also contesting for the Yagba East House of Assembly seat under ADC, noted that the vision of the Leke Abejide Foundation is to create a launchpad for individual and communal prosperity for all in Yagba land.
According to him, receipts of payments to WAEC Office will be given to the beneficiaries in a colourful ceremony slated for 15th-17th November 2018.
