Ahead of the 2019 senatorial election in Kogi Central, it has been established that the candidate of APC, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, may win the election with a convincing victory.
An opinion poll conducted by this writer shows that Alhaji Yakubu Oseni has the edge over his opponents, namely Barr. Natasha Akpoti of the SDP and Senator Ogembe of the PDP if the election is credible and fair to all parties concerned.
A total of 2000 respondents were sampled in the opinion poll that cut across the five local government areas of Kogi central, 1200 of the participants, representing sixty percent of the people polled, said they would prefer Alhaji Yakubu Oseni to Barr Natasha Akpoti and Senator Ogembe who polled 500(25%) and 300(15%) of the votes respectively.
With this opinion poll, political pundits are of the opinion that Alhaji Yakubu Oseni will emerge as the winner of the election slated for February 2019.
