DISCLAIMER
It has come to my attention that there is a wild rumour making the rounds that I am lobbying for the position of Local Government Chairman/Administrator of Ofu Local Government Area. I strongly refute and ferociously confute this fabricated rumour in all its entirety!
This rumour emanating from the psyche and buccal cavity of licensed prefabricados carries with it the odoriferous notion that I am vying for the position for personal gains due to the lure of the allocations coming into Local Government Areas. This not only a malicious falsehood but a deadpan insult to my character and professional integrity which is built on the foundation of the passion to solve problems, add value to ventures of my employer(s) and strive for the development and progress of my people.
Let it be known that I have never approached any authority or influence to lobby for any political post, be it Chairmanship or any elective position for that matter; and neither do I have the interest to invest my time and efforts in that direction. To be candid, I am not vying for, will not vie, and will not accept to vie for the Chairmanship seat in Ofu Local Government Area even if the LG allocation comes in trillions of naira and as large as the national budget. I don’t pray for it, and will never pray for it, as I have better requests I kneel down to make before God my creator who has never failed me. To become an Ofu Local Government Chairman is not and won’t be part of what I pray to God to do for me in this life. As far as the LORD lives, I am going and will continue to go higher, not lower, by his power and grace.
The shippers of this contrived rumour and all those who are misled into thinking in that direction should bend their energies into what will make life meaningful for them instead of wasting it on unproductive gossips and babbles.
I am making significant contributions to the lives of my people, the good citizens of Ofu Local Government Area without being the head of that division of government, and would continue to do so.
Right now, I am very much happy with my appointment as a Senior Special Assistant in the Communications Unit of the Governor’s Office, a platform through which I have contributed, added value, and still contributing my quota to the development of Kogi State and by extension, Ofu Local Government Area where I hail from.
My personal and professional interest, for the foreseeable future, lies in electoral processes, media consultations, and Public Relations.
