Hajia Salamatu Baiwa until recently was the Director Human Resources and Administration at Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). That is before she was ‘transferred’ to Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) an organisation in Aviation sector as Director Human Resources.
The transfer did not go down well with Hajia Baiwa based on the fact that such transfer was against the ethics of civil service and ran contrary to it was not in the FAAN Condition of Service: Management transfer outside the organization.
The administrator per excellence, Hajia Baiwa decline the abnormally and malicious transfer she opted to seek redress in the court of law.
To further enunciate that the struggle wasn’t about her or the office but for the records and posterity, she voluntarily resigned.
At the climax of the case the organization on several occasion requested to settle out-of-court but she wouldn’t bulge and decided to follow the case to a logical conclusion so that a precedence would be laid to prevent further occurrence and intimation of civil servants by the people of influence.
While delivering the judgement, the judge urged the organisation to pay Hajia Salamatu Baiwa two million naira (N2000,000:00)  only as compensation for the trauma she was made to experience during the period of her unlawful transfer and resulting isolation from the organization. The Authority was also mandated to pay all her outstanding entitlements and allowances.
Hajia Baiwa is a self made personality, she leave an exemplary life worthy of emulation. She run her consultancy services until when her friends and associates called her to participate in the societal Politics and contest for the position of National Woman Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC)  to showcase her mundane touch on people. She obliged to their request hence the beginning of the networking for Woman Leader of the party.
We are very optimistic that her good and humane gesture shall give her victory and her victory shall be the moment of liberation to the entire women folk from the shackles of political marginalisation to social and economic oppression.
Congratulations Hajia Salamatu Baiwa.
