Chairman of Kogi State Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee (MIREMCO), Hajia Hassiat Suleiman has said that despite the seeming daunting challenges, Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello is poised to succeed in his people-focused New Direction administration in the state.
The MIREMCO boss reiterated her confidence in a terse statement to commemorate Governor Bello’s 43th birthday celebration.
She said even in the face of dwindling resources in the state, Governor Bello through the assemblage of resource personalities in his cabinet has been able to achieve beyond the imagination of even the naysayers.
“The road has been long and winding, but Your Excellency has proven to be equal to the journey however arduous it may seem, in spite of all obstacles, you have shown yourself to be a formidable political force way ahead of your time, and only posterity will prove your intentions for our great state.
“However, there is no doubt in my mind and the minds of those who are unbiased and steadfast in their belief that you will lead us to the promised New Direction”, she said.
While calling on the people to deepen their support for the present administration, the MIREMCO felicitated with the Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting, urging them to endeavour to live with the lessons of piety, uprightness, brotherliness and generosity learnt during the season.
