As Children gets celebrated all over the world, a foremost aspirant to occupy the seat of Member Representing Mopamuro State Constituency, Kogi State House of Assembly, 2019, Julius Olushola Abel has promised the Children of Kogi State more inclusion and better legislation when he resumes office after the 2019 general elections.
He said this in a statement signed by a member of the Irapada Media Team, Abodunrin Towoju, that children are the heirs of tomorrow but it is alarming that little or no attention is given to them by parents, guardians and government at different levels.
Abel said the Children are always the greatest victims of any mishaps facing us as a nation or people, and the future existence of our Nation largely depends on them. He further asked rhetorically that, “if our children are victims of governance and societal error today, how do they have the required capacity to uphold our nation in the future”?
“The facilities and custodians of preliminary/beginner/basic education meant for the children are so inadequate that they get little or inadequate education, training and knowledge”.
“Today in Kogi State, you see children abused in different form, especially hawking”.
“At the delivery of Irapada Mopamuro Mandate by the grace of God and support of the people, we shall ensure a drastic reduction in every form of activities demeaning our children by sound representation, legislation, oversight functions and lobbying”.
Conclusively, as Abel congratulates the Children of Kogi State, he said in all that Children are product of how Parents/Guardians and Family trained or is training them.
‘Irapada Mopamuro’ is the Theme of his campaign, agenda and manifestos, ‘Irapada’ means to Restore or Redeem.
