A top contender for late Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril seat in the forthcoming Lokoja-Kogi by-election, Hon. Muhammad Mabo Kasim, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and all over the world on the month of Ramadan, 1439,A.H.
In a statement personally signed by him, Mabo said: “by the month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. present at his home), he must observe fasting that month… (Q.Al-Baqarah 2:185)”
The House of Representative hopeful congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Lokoja-Kogi Federal constituency and all over the world on the auspicious occasion of Ramadan, 1439 A.H and prays that Allah make the month a positively new beginning in our individual lives in terms of spiritual excellence and national development.
“One of the beauties of Islamic calendar is its being natural, based on a monthly phenomenon as created by the Almighty Creator of both humanity and nature.
“May Allah in his mercy accept our ibadat and forgive us our past mistakes,” he concluded.
