Irukera Pays Glowing Tribute to Late Buba Jibril

Barrister Babatunde Irukera,  the DG Consumer Protection Council today paid a condolence visit to the family of late Hon. Buba Jibril at his country home in Lokoja today. He described the death of Hon Buba Jubril as shocking and a great loss to his family and the people of Lokoja / Koto constituency that he represents.

Barr. Babatunde Irukera said the loss of the Deputy Majority Leader, who is a grassroot politician has created a vacuum for the people of Lokoja/Koto that would be very difficult to fill.  His death has caused us all so much pain, while it leaves anxiety in the hearts the ones he cared for.

However, his sterling qualities and the strong leadership he provided in Kogi West and Kogi State are the legacies he left behind for us all to emulate, which gives us hope that he may be gone, but yet still with us. It is our responsibility now therefore, to institutionalize him, Irukera said

He prayed that God will grant the immediate family and loved ones of the lawmaker the fortitude to bear the loss, urging the family to take solace in the fact that the lawmaker left indelible marks on the sands of time.

The Director General prayed that God grant the deceased repose of his soul in aljanah firdaus.

Late Jibril, died at the age 58 in Abuja and was buried in Lokoja, on Friday amidst tears from families, friends and colleagues that thronged Lokoja for the burial.
