The All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Governorship candidate in the 2015 elections in Kogi State and member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, has assured the people of Ayede community of more dividends of democracy as he commissioned Ayede market in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
In his address, Faleke stated that the building of the market was not government-sponsored project, but his personal effort to ameliorate the sufferings of the traders in the market.
According to the lawmaker, the market project is in line with his campaign policy to put the interest of the people first.
“Today, we have come here to commission the Ayede market to bring to our minds that the interest of the people is most paramount.
“Government is a process. Things are not done overnight, especially when due process is being followed. Now that we have started this, other developments will follow as requested. On the borehole at the market, I have instructed my engineers to be on site to ensure the borehole is done soon.
“The process may be slow, but gradually we are dishing out the dividends of democracy to our people in line with our campaign promises, and we are assuring you that more are coming as you vote for us.
“My appeal is that we should be patient; most of the things we appropriated for years, it is now they started working out, and we would say it is better late than never. That it is not about campaign, but doing the right thing at the right time,” he said.
