Operating on the aegis of the “Hon. Ahmed Tijani Yusuf Damisa Central Working Committee”, the Asu’ehi Support Group has commended Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and Hon. Ahmed Yusuf Tijani Damisa (Asuehi) for their efforts at bringing development to the area.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Asu’ehi Support Group canvassers held at the residence of the convener of the group, Comrade Adabara Abduljelil El-Okene, which was attended by no fewer than 1,500 members and other pressure groups within the Hon. Ahmed Tijani CWC family in the area, the Chairman of the CWC, Alh. Isah Aliyu Ohindasi, and the spokesperson Mr. Aminu Press said the inauguration in honour of Hon. Ahmed Tijani Yusuf Damisa was in appreciation of his contributions to the growth and development of his constituency.
While urging Damisa to sustain his contributions towards societal growth and development, Aminu Press disclosed that the members of the Central Working Committee were committed towards overwhelming victory for Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in the 2019 gubernatorial election.
Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa said at the inaugural ceremony that the leadership style and image of Governor Yahaya bello is robbing off so much on the people in the state.
“The leadership style of the governor that it has become a subject of discourse in political circles in the state. Evidently, Kogi state under Adoza, is still recording unprecedented developmental strides.
“Presently, in Kogi State, keen watchers of the positive changes within and around the state can easily point to a number of infrastructural development.
“It is amazing that even critics of the governor have positive comments about the value being added to life of the people, under his administration”.
Also speaking, a chieftain of the APC in Okene local government, Alh. Andas called on Kogites to support Governor Yahaya’s New Direction Agenda. He applauded the Asuehi Support Group for their initiative at the grassroots level, adding that they should to take their support a step further by reaching out to friends, relatives, neighbours and colleagues, even as he appealed to them not to be deceived by unscrupulous elements who, according to him, are hell bent on tarnishing the image of the governor through cheap blackmail, falsehood, propaganda and outright lies.
Responding, Comrade Abduljelil expressed gratitude to members of the CWC for the honouring the invitation to inaugurate the grassroots canvassers for both GYB and Asu’ehi for 2019 Project.
