The Senator representing Kogi central senatorial district, Ahmed Ogembe congratulates Christians especially those in his constituency on this year’s celebration of Christmas.
In a message from his media office, Senator Ogembe urged Christians to reflect on the true spirit of Christmas which is love and sacrifice for humanity.
He said ” we must continue to love one another and be ready to make sacrifices. This is the real essence of Christmas. Jesus Christ came to this world because of God’s love for mankind and that is what we are celebrating. We must continue to reflect on the true essence of his gift to the world.
I understand the poor state of our economy and the hardship most families are experiencing, that should not deter us from showing love to the needy in this season. I will continue to strive in my capacity as your senator to bring succour to you, my constituents”
He commended his constituents for their maturity, religious tolerance and the sustained peace and tranquility in the area.
Ogembe however, advised the people to celebrate in moderation, avoid drink driving and be security conscious during and after the yuletide.
