Residents of Enjema in Ankpa local government area of Kogi state have commended the member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alh. Alfa Momoh Rabiu for his exemplary leadership despite all odds facing his sway.
The residents who couldn’t hide their feelings made the statement on seeing the honorable member during a condolence visit he intended to be on a low key. The residents of the town trooped out en masse to welcome the high ranking honorable who had come to commiserate with a youth leader in the area of the demise of his mother.
The spokesperson of the residents applauded Rabiu’s resilience in fulfilling his electoral promises via infrastructural development across the nooks and crannies of the area and went further to say no opposition, be it powerful forces nor political parties in the state has the grassroots acumen required to compete with him as majority of them had been tested and found to be political demagogues that cannot bring any good thing to the people.
According to him, “We have been having representatives in Ankpa 2 but we have not had a member like Alh Rabiu who is so close to the grassroots like this. Aside the fact that we in feel his stewardship in the areas of education support, health and social amenity, it is also a known fact that he is always among the first to show up whenever calamity or anything hard befall us and this is the advantage of electing a home-based politician.” He said.
The bereaved, while thanking his August visitor, appealed to other sympathisers that “for us to continue to enjoy this level of good representation, we must champion the cause of continuity and it is in view of this that we must continue to show our sincere appreciation to Hon Rabiu for being kind and good to us as a people.”
While responding, Hon Rabiu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the betterment of the area with high level infrastructural development tasking the people to remain steadfast in checkmating him with a view to call him back to track if he deters noting that the era of money voting has passed and accountability is now the hallmark of acceptability.
