Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi State have passed a vote of confidence on the national and state leadership of the party.
This was made known after a stakeholders meeting today in Adogo.
Leader of the party, Hon. Ado Okino charged PDP members to start canvassing for support for the party. He called for unity and genuine reconciliation.
The LGA party chairman, Igamina Achereku congratulated supporters on the Supreme Court victory and briefed supporters of recent and future party activities like congresses and National Convention. Former Executive Chairman, Hon. Salihu Onekata urged the party to put machinery in motion for reconciliation and receiving of decampees to PDP.
The sardauna of Ebiraland, Alh. S. I. Bello prayed for the party to take Nigeria out of the current economic mess and appealed to members to commence ward meetings immediately.
The stakeholders meeting was well attended by party stalwarts, youths and women. Former council helmsmen, political appointees and leaders registered their presence at the meeting.
