Kogi Govt Steps Up Efforts On Electricity Supply

As part of efforts to improve electricity supply in the State, Kogi State Government has commenced the installation of solar powered street lights in the three senatorial districts.

The Director Electrical/Electronics, Engr. Yahaya Adoga Umar who made it known in a chat with this reporter in Lokoja also disclosed that the installation of streets lights in Lokoja metropolis is completed.

He explained that the signal lights at junction’s like Nataco, Obasanjo square, post office, ministry of Health, zone are eighty percent completed and will soon be commissioned.

Engr Adoga further noted that the extension of electricity supply from Banda to Koton-Karfe is ninety percent completed.

Added that the proposed lots for the relocation of poles within Nyamayama road, House of Assembly, 500 units, Lokongoma Housing Estate Phases 1 and 2 will commence soon.

According to him, “Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello is a leader who Is seriously committed towards boosting electricity in all parts of the State” adding that there is every hope that before the end of his tenure every parts of Kogi State will witness electricity supply to boost economic activities in the State.

Engr. Adoga applauded the Governor for his positive commitment towards electricity supply to all parts of the State. He called on the electorate in the State to keep supporting the governor to ensure the needed rapid transformation of the State
