It is no longer news how that the world has lost its moral orientation, and how that the credibility of our moral values
have plummeted. It is disheartening to look back in time and find chastity, pride and modesty in sex related matters, but to even superficially consider the tide now, a moral man would shake his head at the deep hole the 21st century world has fallen into.
Keeping ourselves chaste till the night of marriage is now depicted as a phenomenon that is anti-diluvian. The men don’t see anything bad in having a taste of different cakes before settling down for one. They feel that is the right thing to do. The ladies now feel horrified at the thought of them still holding on to the pride of their virginity till they are crowned.
What a shame!
After a deep muse on this issue, I came to the conclusion that the degree of a person’s sexual irresponsibility is directly proportional to the degree of one’s overall moral irresponsibility and decadence.
I would point the spotlight to the weaker Homo sapien –the females. Focusing on this gender of the human race is not borne out of sentiment as a male, and you will agree with me that they receive the biggest blow of the consequence of this moral plague.
I am in no position to judge anybody as touching what they have done, because the holy book said “…….do not judge……..”, but am sure that one of the primary essence of the holy book is to correct the wrong in our society.
Ladies are the most affected of the two genders, because they are the one that lose blood after first sex and experience an enlargement of the uterus after 9 months of a successful fertilization.
I stand to be corrected but I wonder why they offer sex during relationships other than marriage. Is it to satisfy and keep the man down or what?
I think you should have this inscribed in your hearts, that “A man that will love you without sex will love you no matter what”.
I can assertively say that a man having sex with you isn’t a pointer to his love for you. He is just getting what he wants.
I once knew a guy who had a girlfriend, and was all over her. He demanded sex and she gave heed. The deed was done and the guy came back to the hostel, told his friends of his ‘achievement’ and they all jested and laughed. He had his way. But the shocking statement he made that I refused to let go from my memory was “Am now being irritated by this girl. She smells to me”.
This comment made my shoulders shudder and then thanked God that I don’t have a sister not to talk of a wayward one.
Why can’t ladies just realize that men say the sweetest things to their face but when chit-chatting with friends, they do so with no iota of respect for them?
Probably, the problem is not even them trying to hold on to their man at all cost, maybe their uncontrollable urge and wants prompts them to.
Hanging on to virginity till marriage is now a waste of time, and no longer a criterion to a successful marriage. Where have we gotten it wrong? Where have we missed it in development and evolution into the 21st century-world?
The problem, you would retort, is not micro – the individual, but macro – the society. But what constitutes the society? Isn’t it a myriad of individuals?
I have spent just about two decades on earth, and I have seen enough of the negative impacts of pre marital sex on
individuals, majorly females. Ladies that are just being saved by the rule of feminism, now go ahead to have fun of just few minutes that result in STD’s, pregnancy and lots more. This will then expedite their transfer to the kitchen rather than the classrooms or the sites of exhibiting talent.
The males that donated the sperm will further their education, but the carrier of the fetal being will have to attend UI
(university of Ife) for a minimum of 365 days, and most of them don’t make it back.
What a hard time it could be, to become a mother when you still need a mother!
Ladies wake up! Stop being a laughing stock. My heart ached when I got home to hear that a younger lady to me was carrying a baby. Also two others of about my age had been involved in several abortion cases over the years.
But the guys ain’t being stigmatized as they were.
Someone said and I paraphrase “Taking sex out of a relationship, a whole lot of ladies have nothing to offer”. Whao! Shame on the ladies to whom this statement is applicable! The degradation in the self esteem, charisma and elegance of ladies simply can’t be overemphasized. But what can be done?
Only grace can veer the projectile of moral instability the world is being piloted in by the western world. The bitter truth is, every guy hopes to marry a decent, charismatic and elegant lady, but here are most ladies spreading their legs for every tom, dick and harry. Go on, the future is near. Results ain’t being delayed by nature anymore.
I won’t fail to answer the question that “But some ladies engage in premarital sex and are still successful”. Yes some do become successful, but it will be foolhardy to bank on a probability with the slimmest possible positive outcome. Why not just work it out now on the road to success and have men chase after you later. Become respected.
Most ladies have become a sex puppet in the hands of men. Must you throw yourselves at men that will eventually prostrate before your parents? Must you carry a baby so early and thereby stop addition of value to your life? Must you be feeding a kid when you are yet able to afford a dress for yourself? Have we all forgotten that sexual intercourse is spiritual and should be revered? Where are our values for crying out loud?
Well I was just thinking out loud. I simply pray that the creator forgives and overlook the mistakes we make in the name of having fun.
Sexual irresponsibility is a societal disease but it stems out of the lack or rejection of the right sexual orientation of the individuals of the community. I believe and I think the world should say “Sexual chastity begins with me”
Be the change you want to see. Well, that is if you want a change anyways. Let’s protect our values it’s what defines who we truly are.
