FG Urged to Checkmate Spate of Kidnapping in Kogi State

A community leader in Ebira land, Kogi State, Alhaji Muhammed Tenuche, has appealed to the State and Federal governments to check the emergence and spate of kidnapping in the district.

Alhaji Tenuche, the regent to the stool of Olu of Adarbi community in the district, made the appeal while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Okene, describing the present situation as creating unnecessary apprehension and insecurity in the area.

He expressed regret that the unfortunate development scares the indigenes who reside outside the community from visiting their homes and this has adversely affected the economic activities of area.

Tenuche who was formerly INEC Federal Electoral Commissioner, attributed the present ugly situation to bad politicking of the past in the area.
