The only hope remaining for the good people of Kogi state now is the presence of strong and viable opposition.
The opposition’s main role is to question the government of the day and hold them accountable to the public.
The opposition represents an alternative government, and is responsible for challenging the policies of the government and producing different policies where appropriate.
Holding the Government accountable? Yes and I mean it .
The most important job of the opposition is to constantly question the government. Just as Dr Brash said and I quote; “Any government has to remain answerable to the public at all times, and a good opposition can put the spotlight on serious issues and have them resolved quickly”.
Opposition we may not have the same resources as the Government and the Executive, so we have to work twice as hard to get the same results.
We are going to keep a close eye and ear on what the public is saying, needs and wants – we will speak out when necessary.
We have no option other than to respect Supreme Court decision .
We will be concentrating on the issues that matter
