The Special Adviser to the state governor on culture and tourism, Barrister Lewis Tokunbo Asubiojo stated this in a press statement made available to Kogireports.
Asubiojo explained that the present administration is determined to develop all tourism potentials as revenue generation base for the state.
Stressing that Kogi is sitting on keg of tourism potentials waiting to be tapped to increase it revenue. He said that given the background of Lokoja as the first capital of Nigeria and presence of tourism sited such as the first primary school in Northern Nigeria, relics of the colonial masters, European cemeteries, second world war cenotaph, including the point where union jack was lowered, the great Rivers Niger and Benue and Lord Lugard rest house on the Mount patti and Omi dam among several others are enough to attract a lot tourists to the state, if properly developed.
