Flood: Ohere Calls on Kogi LG Administrators To Take Preventive Measures

The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Ohere, has called on the administrators in the twenty one local government areas of the state to take preventive measures in order to avert future occurrence of flood in Kogi state.

According to Ohere, the local government administrators have been directed by the state government to set up local emergency teams that will map out strategies to curb the impending flood menace.

Recalling the devastating experiences occasioned by the unfortunate 2012 flood disaster in the state, Ohere advised people living in flood prone areas to leave for higher grounds.
