Concerned by some developments arising from the feelers from Kogi State Government pronouncements and directives regarding payments to staff of Local Government Areas in the state, leadership of Lokoja Local Government Branch of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has requested the presence of some stakeholders to discuss ways forward.
A press statement signed by the council’s Director of Media and Publicity, Yabagi Mohammed, quoted the President, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu as saying that the meeting became imperative in view of the sensitive nature of the matter.
It says the council, being a representative body, not only for a selected, but the entire youth of the Local Government, is concerned about some of the feelers it is having about government plans, particularly as regards the Local Government Council.

It therefore solicits for the attendance of the stakeholders and leaders, to chart a way forward for the council.
Those invited for the meeting which comes up tomorrow, Monday, 23 May, 2016 at the Lokoja Local Government Council Hall include Comrade Jibril Alhassan, Chairman, Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Lokoja Local Government Chapter; Comrade Bala Ibrahim, the incoming NULGE Chairman; Comrade Isiaka Suleiman; Comrade Umar Yakubu Ali and Comrade Abdulrafiu Aleru.
Also to attend the meeting are Comrades Prince Etsu Idris, Hamza Aliyu, Danladi Mayaki, Iliyasu Zakari, Abdulmalik Kakanda, A D Yakubu, Ibrahim Danlami Ibrahim, Bala Shaban and Suleiman Baba’ango.
Others include Barr Inuwa, Mall M T Nasidi, Comrades Yakubu Gowon, Umar Usman, and Mike Ehimoni.Members of Executive for the Council are also invited to attend the meeting where salient issues affecting several areas in the Local Government Area would be discussed.
