#KogiDecides: INEC Distributes PVCs In Kogi Between Nov 6-11

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will distribute the Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) in Kogi State between November 6 and November 11, ahead of the governorship election scheduled for November 21.

The commission will also distribute PVCs in Bayelsa State from November 13 to November19, ahead of the gubernatorial election holding on December 5.

The deputy director on publicity, Nick Dazang, confirmed that “INEC to distribute Permanent Voters’ Cards in Kogi from Nov. 6 to Nov. 11; Bayelsa from Nov. 13 to Nov. 19.”

INEC had earlier cleared 42 candidates and their deputies for both governorship elections.

The breakdown shows that while 22 candidates are to contest for the governorship seat in Kogi State, 20 candidates will contest in Bayelsa State.

The exercise was to afford persons who were eligible but did not registered before the 2015 general election to do so and to vote in the forthcoming governorship polls.
