If revelations coming from the on-going tribunal proceedings in the case between Smart Adeyemi (PDP) and Dino Melaiye (APC) are anything to go by, one can safely conclude that the much talked about electoral victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in Kogi state is a ruse.
What we are hearing from the ballot-recount at the Tribunal suggests that Senator Dino Melaye did not win in some polling units within Lokoja and Kogi Kotonkarfe LGAs. These LGAs are the main areas where President Buhari got bulk votes under the cover that these areas are APC strongholds. With the revelations coming from Tribunal that votes accorded to Dino were false, one can safely say the same must have happened in the case of Buhari. I am very sure that if we beem searchlights on ballot papers used for the presidential elections in Kogi, we will discover the same anomaly as is being discovered in the case of Dino Melaiye.

Senator Dino Melaye’s victory came to many as a surprise. The pre-election noise in Kogi West was focused on Senator Smart Adeyemi’s third term bid and the Yagba candidate, Samuel Bamidele Aro of Accord Party.
